End of Week Ramblings

After the announcement that the Man O’War Bookstream has been delayed because of Covid, I have a couple of further updates. Being hit by Covid has bungled up the schedules of Alessandro Babalola, who was set to play Adem, and Boo Golding, who was due to play Nita, so they’ve sadly had to pull out.

While Bookstreamz are still looking to recast the role of Adem, happily we’ve managed to confirm that the role of Nita will be played by Laura Costa. Laura’s main credits have been from the stage, including playing Juliet at the RCM’s production of Romeo And Juliet, and Princess Stephanie Grimaldi in ITV’s forthcoming docudrama Autopsy, Grace Kelly.

Laura Costa, the new Nita

My latest Long Read blog has popped up, on the topic of Nehushtan the Bronze Snake, and why we ought to look at it.

Enjoy the weekend!

Away from the page, I work for the UK Space Agency on a European programme of space robotics for advanced satellite and planetary exploration technologies. All of which comes in rather handy when coming up with new ideas for science fiction stories. My first novel Man O’War was published in 2018 by Snowbooks, and I’ve had a few short stories published hither and yon. I’m a member of the Society of Authors and a supporter of SFFChronicles. I was born in Forest Gate, east London, and now live in Essex with my wife and two daughters.
